This is an event you will not like to miss, as you will be able to mess up and play with things (or rather call them engineering products), but at the same time you will get an extra view of things which we normally call “Junk box”. As the name suggests this is an event where you will compete with teams, all working on the same base to get a product which is more superior then others, using reverse engineering. It will test your ability to grasp the technology behind the lively human made products that you see around you. This event requires an ability to learn new concepts and apply them on the spot on a platform which may be similar or different.
The event will consist of an introductory lecture-cum-demonstration followed by 2 rounds, i.e., a prelim and a final round. In the prelims all the teams will be shown a simple product and will be given some material to achieve the aim of that product, in a limited amount of time. Then the top teams will qualify for the finals, which will be somewhat on the similar base but higher difficulty level. Each team will consist of at most 3 members.
The problem statements will be given to the participating teams on the spot.
