Workshops
Robotics Workshop
Only a limited number of people will be taken on a first come first served basis.Registrations for the event will start on October 1st and end on October 3rd 12:00 noon. You’ll have to register at the hospitality desk with your valid Shaastra ID card. Also please note that it is an individual event.
People who have registered for this event should arrange for their accomodation as Shaastra will not be providing accomodation to the participants for this event.
How many times have you seen robots work their magic and felt you should build them yourself someday? How many times have you tried but couldn’t succeed because you didn’t know where to start? Want to learn how robots, both small and large work? If your answer is yes to any of these questions, then here it is… the most irresistible offer for all those mortals who feel like they are out of the loony bin… Here is an oppurtunity to jumpstart your exploration of this field.
Robotics@Shaastra started as a workshop on Robotics in 2002.This Shaastra we recreate the past by organising a robotics workshop along with I-Robo School of NetLink Technologies.
Known as Robotic Orientation Program, this program gives a good grounding on the art of building basic, manual and autonomous robots out of discrete electronic components. The objective of this program is to train students and make them familiar with the latest technologies used in Robotics. With this workshop you take your first step into the ever expanding and fun-filled field of robotics.
The workshop will be for two days and is designed to make the participant familiar with the latest technologies used in the field of Robotics. As such this program.
- Covers a wide range of Electronics, Communication and Mechanical Engineering fundamentals.
- Provides an opportunity for the students to have hands on section with the best designed robotic kits (By IROBO).
The workshop will be held in multiple sessions. These sessions will be appropriately paced and distributed in a span of two days.
Highlights of the program
- Well Designed Course
- Course Training is for two days and comprises of more than 12 hours of theory and practical sessions

FAQ
- Cost of the workshop?
As a part of continuing educational initiative from Shaastra this workshop is free of cost.
- Who can register?
Anyone who wants to foray into the world of robotics can. This workshop is designed to demystify the subject a bit. As such this is a basic level workshop.
- Will it help me?
Definitely,if you are a beginner. Maybe,if you are very good at robotics. But what we feel is that hobby robotics is a vast field and you can always learn new things about pretty basic stuff.
- Format?
Two day event.Individual event.
- Duration of program.
Possibly 8 hrs of theory on first day and 4 hours hands-on on second day where you get to work with robotic-kits.Subject to change.
- Can I attend only one session?
No.We have put a lot of effort to make the workshop a cohesive integrated package. As such the purpose is lost if you don't attend the complete workshop.
- Selection.
First come first served in most cases.Subject to discretion of organisers.
- What will I get apart from a lot of interesting knowledge on robotics?
Study materials in the form of documents , CDs containing software and possibly intern at Papyrus Clubs. You also get a certificate from Shaastra-Papyrus club attesting to the fact that you attended this workshop.
- How can I register?
You can register with the hospitality desk with your Shaastra ID card.Registrations open on October 1st and end on October 3rd 12:00 noon.
- When will the workshop take place?
On October 4th and 5th.(Please disregard any other information regarding this).
