In the year 2006,a group of IITians built a 10 foot aircraft that takes aerial video and beams it back to a ground station.

The project was named “Want To Fly”. This later grew into The Aeromodeling Club which is one of the most active clubs in the Institute.

This year, Want To Fly is back with a greater ambition of Automated Flight. A pilot at the ground station flies the aircraft with the help of a virtual cockpit. The Final system is one in which the ground station computer would Fly the aircraft through predefined coordinates automatically.
