Get the Shaastra 2009 schedule, event descriptions, venues etc. right at your finger-tips

Download the Shaastra App (Free). It contains event descriptions for all events, their venues, as well as the timings and a map of IIT Madras showing the venues. Now there is no need to scramble to the Hospi-Desk just to get a copy of the schedule!

Installation Procedure

1. Download the Shaastra 2009.zip file to your computer.
2. Extract the files using WinRAR or similar software.
3. Transfer the extracted Shaastra 2009.jar file to your JAVA enabled phone/PDA using data cable or bluetooth.
4. Open the file in your device and allow it to get installed.

Minimum Device Requirments

1. Java Enabled Device with MIDP 2.0 and CLDC 1.1 (Is your phone Java enabled? Most phones which have either a Camera, Bluetooth, GPRS etc. are Java enabled.)
2. 640 KB of free space.

Note

1. Please make the Settings of your application manager such that it allows all software to be installed. (On Nokia S60 phones, make Software installation as All and Online certificate check as Off).
2. Some Samsung and Chinese phones require both Shaastra 2009.jar and Shaastra 2009.jad file. If this is the case, please transfer Shaastra 2009.jad file also to your phone.
3. You may also use PC Suite to install the application on to your phone directly from your computer.
4. For low graphics and low memory phones download the lightweight version of the app which has lesser graphic content Shaastra 2009 Lite.zip, extract it to get  Shaastra 2009 Lite.jar and install as mentioned above. This requires about 200kb of free space. Some phones will also need Shaastra 2009 Lite.jad.
