Online Programming Contest
Online_ProgChallenge_Introduction
OPC
has been an integral part of Shaastra since 2006 and has been widely
growing ever since. Over the last two years, there have been more than
1000 participants battling it out in this contest.
The
focus of this contest is not just on solving problems from a wide
variety of areas, but also on the elegance of the solution. It will be
an algorithm intensive contest with major emphasis on the finer details
as well as the running time complexity of the solution.
Even
if you are a newbie to programming, this will still be a great
exposure. All that is required is certain basic programming skills in
C/C++ and enough enthusiasm to sweat it out for five to six hours at a
stretch.
You can use the following resources to prepare for the contest.
- Sphere Online Judge (http://www.spoj.pl/ )
- UVA Online Judge (http://acm.uva.es/problemset/
- UVA Online Judge programming contests (http://acm.uva.es/contest/ )
- TopCoder (http://www.topcoder.com/tc )
