Industry Relevant Problems_General Guidelines

Here are some guidelines regarding the write-up

Restoration of rivers

  • We are looking for new, innovative ideas -not text-book answers. For example,we do not want a detailed explanation of the activated sludge process. If you feel that some of the procedures that you use as a part of the solution are fairly common,a mere mention would suffice. However, you are welcome to suggest modifications to improve existing procedures.
  • The solution you propose need not be just technical. For example, suggesting a policy change regarding any of the issues will be considered as a valid point.
  • Try to address the economic aspects involved - think on the lines of BOT.
Energy from pipelines
  • Think on the lines of using the energy that is lost due to various reasons in pipelines and how one can tap into this energy.
  • Please try to make your ideas as clear as possible.
  • Detailed calculations, flow charts etc. are most welcome.
Feel free to contact the coordinators for further information.

Industry Relevant Problems_Evaluation Criteria
