Junkyard Wars_Introduction

Total prize money worth Rs 28,000 to be won !!!

Inspired by the 1970 Apollo mission,in which scientists aboard the Apollo-13 spacecraft met with a series of near-disastrous catastrophes and managed to save themselves by working with junk that actually was on board, Junkyard Wars 09 checks if you know the mantra that got them through. In short this event is all about racing against the clock and working together as a team to create a machine using whatever you can find in a junkyard. This event is an all out search for the ultimate hands on team with great design minds who can churn out something from heaps of scrap. All we are looking forward from you is loads of enthusiasm, tons of perseverance, tolerance to a high magnitude of dirt & grease and finally a great general knowledge about how things work and perhaps a little bit of hands-on experience.

  • Being one of the biggest events in Shaastra, Junkyard wars also is the biggest crowd puller and also has the highest media attention.
  • So, if you are looking for the Ultimate Hands On event, this is an opportunity which you can not afford to miss.
