2) Details of all the team members : Names, Departments, Phone numbers, College, etc. Please try to put them in a proper tabular format for our convenience.
3) Confirmation of coming to Shaastra for Phase 2.
4) The last date by which you will be sending us an authentication letter (Please try to send it as soon as possible. Latest by 20th of September)
Authentication letter :
As you are already aware of, you are required to submit an authentication letter. It is basically a letter which authenticates the work which you have claimed to be done by you. It must contain the following things :
1) Approval by the professor guide in your research (Signature of the professor guide is a must).
2) Signature of the head of the laboratory in which you have carried out your research. This is applicable to any other place where you have conducted or applied your research.
3) Seal or stamp of the institute where you have carried out your research work.
Please make it a point that we receive a scanned copy of this letter by 25th of September, 2009. It is necessary to submit this letter to qualify yourself for the presentation i.e Phase 2. You can address the letter to 'The judge, Your topic, Paper Presentation, Shaastra 2009'.
Note : Violation or inability to adhere to the procedure mentioned above can lead to disqualification at any point of time.

General Rules of the Format
1) The paper should either in form of Word Document or PDF (preferable).
2) The information in the bracket is in the format : (Font theme, Font size, Font effects, alignment/placement of text).
3) The page size should be A4.
4) The word limit of the abstract is 200 words and that of the full paper is 6000 words.
5) The line spacing should be 1.5.
6) The numbering for the main titles should be 1,2,3 and so on.
7) The numbering for subtitles should be in A,B,C and so on. It is not compulsory to have subtitles in a title.
8) The paper should necessarily have an abstract and its first title should necessarily be Introduction as shown above.
9) The last two titles of the paper should necessarily be Conclusion and References.
10)The other recommended titles are Literature, Hypothesis, Approach, Experiments if any, Model Development if any, Analysis, Results and Remarks. Deviations from these titles are allowed.
11)Title fonts: Times New Roman, 14 font size , Bold and underlined, left alignment.
12)Sub Title fonts: Times New Roman, 12 font size , Bold and Italic, left alignment.
13)Paper should be incorporated with Figures, Tables, Expressions, Appendix if any etc.
14)The coordinators reserve the right of rejecting any paper following deviation of the paper from the given format.
Rules and Regulations
GENERAL
1. Your work should be original and in the specified format.
2. The competition is open to all students (UG & PG (Masters)) irrespective of their educational field.
3. A recommendation letter from a professor, who is guiding or supervising your work, will be required if your paper gets selected for presentation.
TEAM FORMATION
1. Team can have maximum of 3 participants.
2. No participants can be part of more than one team.
3. It is not necessary that the participants forming a team should be from the same college.
4. There is no restriction on the numbers of team from the same college.
EVENT FORMAT
The event will be held in two phases :
PHASE 1
1. Submission of abstract and full paper.
2. Any one of the mentioned Topics can be used.
3. Based on the papers’ evaluation, the best 4 papers (due to constraints on venue and time) in each topic will be selected for PHASE 2.
PHASE 2
1. The paper submitted will have to be presented during the event.
2. 3 hard copies of the same are to be submitted before presentation.
3. The teams will get 10-12 minutes to present their paper.
4. It will be followed by a question and answer session .
5. The participants will have to present their paper in Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 compulsory.
6.Violation of any rule can result in rejection of paper.
7.The organizers reserve the right to change/update the rules of the contest at any point of time and will do their best to inform the participants of the same. However, it is ultimately the responsibility of the teams to keep themselves updated.
