WANT TO FLY-3 (INTELLIGENCE SYSTEM)           

Want to Fly series of projects have been the longest sustaining SOE (Spirit of Engineering) project in the institute with continuously evolving aircrafts or avionics.

The sequence is continuing and right now we are at “Want to Fly-3". The project is aimed at designing a “CONTROL SYSTEM MODULE” for flight stabilization and automation. The aircraft has to traverse along a path defined by you. All you need to do is specify the co-ordinates of the places over which you want the aircraft to go; rest all is taken care by the control system module. It incorporates measures to tackle all disturbances (nothing more than wind but that itself is a tricky job).

Moreover this is a portable and independent control system module easily employable in various systems let it be on ground, air or water with minimal changes as per the requirement of the system (so the name Intelligence System). The focus is also on smart methods of data acquisition so that we can have a better understanding of the system for future references.

In a nutshell, the project is all about a “very precise, reliable, robust and versatile control system module”.
