Aimed at ‘unleashing the imagination of the youth’, we proudly present Sampark ‘10, a pre-Shaastra initiative to reach out to students across the country through a multiplicity of events, ranging from robotics to puzzle championships and an array of exciting workshops from a wide spectrum of fields. Discover the engineer in you and prove your worth & gain a direct entry to our main event!
In its second edition, competition just got bigger and better! Sampark Policy
- Sampark will be conducted in Pune [College of Engineering, Pune] on 22nd of August, 2010..
- Students from any college of Maharashtra are eligible to participate in Sampark Pune.
- Events conducted at Sampark include ‘The Octagon Mission’ robotics competition, AeRobotics workshop, Shaastra Main Quiz, Project X and a FOSS conference.
Robotics
- Click here for the problem statement.
- The robotics competition will serve as a preliminary round to the main event in Shaastra.
- A maximum of top three teams from the competition will be given second round entries to the event at Shaastra.
- In addition these teams need not submit an online Team Description Paper and will be given confirmed accommodation in Shaastra.
AeRobotics workshop
- A 2 hour workshop on AeRobotics will also form a part of Sampark Pune 2010.
- Registration for the workshop is free.
Shaastra Main Quiz
- A maximum of top two teams will gain direct entry to the semifinal round of the event in Shaastra 2010.
Project X
- Registration is free. You may register on-spot too.
FOSS conference
- FOSS Conference at Sampark 2010 is an event where student developers will introduce you to open source software from the twin viewpoints of a user and a developer. Whether you are just curious to know more about Linux and open source software or the power hacker, we try and bring together a series of talks and hands-on events that help you dive deeper into FOSS, know some of the open source projects better and eventually get into writing patches and contributing to open source. Sampark 2010 will cover a small introductory talk about how to get started with open source to get you started with the basic tools needed to develop for your favourite open source projects.
